PLANTING NOTES

Planting season: Due to our cold winters, Dahlia tubers should be planted in early spring in Quebec. You can dig up your tubers in the fall to use them year after year following our planting guide.

Planting: Dahlias are heat-loving plants, so it is very important to place them in a sunny location and avoid overwatering. Refer to the instruction sheet included with your order or consult our blog page here!

DESCRIPTION

Dahlia ‘Café au Lait’

This Dahlia belongs to the ‘Dinner Plate’ family.

Plant height: Between 1 and 2 meters.

Production: Very thick stem, less floriferous than other varieties.

Vase life: Once cut, the flower can remain beautiful for 5-7 days.

Flower diameter: 7″-8″

Color: Ranges from pale pink, blush, to cream.

Staking is recommended to prevent the stems from breaking in the wind.

The tubers are very productive, making it easy to keep them year after year and increase your stock.

Each tuber is sold individually with at least 1 eye.

Planting should be done after the risk of frost has passed. Tubers do not tolerate frost and must be stored indoors during the winter.

Recommended spacing between plants: 12 to 18 inches.
